Jubhoo lagoon is a large shallow brackish lagoon with associated mudflats and marshes.
It is located in district Badin (Sindh) at co-ordinates 24° 20 N, 068°40’E and has a covered area of 700 hectare.
The lagoon is connected with nearby Pateji, Cholri and Nurri wetlands.
Jubhoo lagoon is home to wintering water birds like Greater and Lesser Flamingo and also of Dalmatian Pelican.
Large scale hunting has reduced the number and diversity of migratory birds. A tidal link canal
With saline water has also resulted in reduction of fresh water vegetation. This has damaged the biodiversity of the area.
