Rama Lake is in Gilgit Baltistan Province near Astore.
It is easily accessible by road after 30 minutes drive from Astore City.
The lake is surrounded by thick forest of huge pine, cedar, fir and juniper trees. The area around it is known for its spectacular views, especially during the dawn and early morning hours.
Rama Valley remains snow covered for 7-8 months of the year and in summer, it becomes lush green.
A PTDC motel and Public Works Department (PWD) rest house near the lake provide accommodation to the tourists and visitors.
