Karomber Lake is the 31st highest lake in the world.
The lake is located at a height of 14,016 feet in Ishkoman valley of Chitral District.
It is considered as most beautiful mountain lake in the world being surrounded by Pamir Mountains.
Karamber Lake is accessible on all four sides through extremely tough mountain tracks.
The three routes are from Pakistan side while the fourth one is from Afghanistan.
One route is via Chillinji Pass (above 17000 feet), other is via Chitti Boi glacier or via Darkot Pass which is 16000 feet high.
The lake is approximately 3.9 km long, 2 km wide and has an average depth of 171 feet.
