Burzil Pass at an elevation of 13500 feet is in Astore District, Gilgit Baltistan.
It is an ancient pass connecting Gilgit with Srinagar and Skardu via Deosai Planes and was a caravan route. The pass is closed after Pakistan independence.
Astore River originates from western slopes of the pass. The pass crest is wide and covered with alpine grass in summer.
