Lahore Museum was established built in 1864 and thirty years later in 1894shifted to its present location (Mall road in front of Punjab University City Campus. The building was designed by sir Ganga Ram the famous architect.
It is one of the biggest museums of the country and also one of the most famous of South Asia due to large collection of pre-historic and historic period musical instruments, ancient jewellery, textiles, pottery, and armory. The Museum contains some fine specimens of Mughal and Sikh door-ways and wood-work and contains a large collection of paintings.
The Lahore Museum is a must go place for history students of the country & abroad.
