Lansdowne Bridge Rohri is a railway bridge built on River Indus. It connects Rohri with Sukkur.
It was the longest Rigid Girder Bridge in nineteenth century at the time of its construction.
The construction started in 1887. It was designed by a British Engineer Sir Alexander Meadows Rendel, fabricated in London and erected by F.E Robertson.
The Bridge was inaugurated by Viceroy Lord Lansdowne on March 25, 1889.
The bridge provided railway link between Lahore and Karachi.
After construction of Ayub Bridge (1960-1962), the railway traffic shifted there. These two bridges are 100 feet apart and look one at a distance.
