Subject : Cameras and Related Equipment Suggestions
Hey everyone.

Every now and then I get a lot of queries about which camera to buy, which equipment is better and what not. Although I'm not a very good photographer myself, I just have a love for gadgets and cameras are gadgets too so I read up on that a lot and survey electronic markets just for fun (I know I need to get a life but whatever )

Anyhoo, the reason for this topic is that if you are in market to buy a camera or stuff you can post your query here and I, along with VC and Momin would try to guide you people on what to buy and what not to buy.

Although with Momin and VC on board the discussion would go in favor of Nikon, but that's just an assumption. Let's see...

Once a newer model is announced, the D7000 should go for a good closeout price.

One either pays the price for the latest, or gets better value. A D7000 at a closeout price would still take excellent pictures.

#2 for sure, f2.8 is worth the slightly shorter zoom range.

@Vcheng
I think #2 is no more in production.
It is replaced by Canon EF 24-70mm F/2.8 L USM Lens which is ~ 1900 $
while the above 2 type will cost $ 900 each.
I am looking for a used one & shall wait till Christmas to get a good deal.
What is ur opinion.

I know 2.8 is very tempting. I have both these in my gadget, the 70-200 & 24-75 which are Sigma & Tamron.
This Tamron is giving me problem & its aperture is malfunctioning.
But the 105 mm will give me more cushion if I compromise on low light situation.
