Congratulaions, that is quite a big lens. I have used the 70-300 and on the 300mm with a crop factor it has immense reach. Great for bird shots and also the occasional perv shooting. :P

I think this will be able to replace both the 18-105 and 70-300, but the 70-300 might be a tad sharper at long lengths.

Once I took only my 70-200 on a trip with friends, and it was hard to get their portraits with the landscapes behind.. they thought the bigger the lens the bigger the coverage they will get lol... although they loves the photos but there was no landscape in them :/

Lets roll out some test shots, and also how is the build quality n speed of the new baby ?

Versatility wins every time in my book. More shots with the new lens will be forthcoming.

The build quality is decent ,except the hood which is quite flimsy, but that is typical of all new Nikkors these days.

The lens lists for $999 here; I do not know about Pakistan.

A 18-300/D7K combo is pretty hard to beat IMO, for most situations.
