Subject : Rawalakot, Banjosa, Toli Pir, Murree and Surroundings family trip (June-July 2013)

Hello Travellers!

I have visited a few domestic and international locations through out my life but this is my first trip which I am going to publish on web. Apologies for any mistake! It was a family trip. Me, wife and two kids.

Dates:
29th June to 6th July 2013

Day 1:
Departed from KHI to ISB at 7am (Shaheen Air). Hired Metro Cab from airport to Rawalakot. Took almost 3.5 hours to reach to the guest house I booked from Karachi. It was Diera Guest House (Rs. 2,000 per night).

Day 2:
Hired taxi and visited Banjosa Lake.

Day 3:
Hired the same taxi and visited Toli Pir.

Day 4:
Hired private cab and went to Murree via Kohala. Stayed at Summer Point hotel (near GPO) Rs. 4,000 per night

Day 5:
Visited Patriata (new Murree)

Day 6:
Visited Nathia Gali including the Aabshaar (water fall near by) and Ayubia.

Day 7:
Shopping at Murree. (Married guys can understand the details)

Day 8:
Back to ISB in Metro cab and 3pm flight to KHI (Shaheen Air)

Photos are not processed in any way. I just resized them. I hope you will like!

At Toli Pir (~3,000 meters).

Stayed at Diera Guest House, around 2km from main bazar. My room was 2,000 per night but there are cheaper as well as VIP rooms too. A very very quiet and calm place to stay and enjoy the holidays and weekends.

And yes, people are so good and much better at hospitality. In short a perfect guest house for families. Besides rooms there are drawing room, dining hall, kitchen where you can cook yourself or order anything you need to eat or drink and very reasonable bills.

Next day's driving to Banjosa Lake near Rawalakot.

Banjosa Lake is an artificial lake and a tourist attraction 20 kilometers (12 mi) from the city of Rawalakot in District Poonch in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is located at an altitude of 1,981 meters (6,499 ft). The lake is surrounded by densely pine forest and mountains, which make its very charming and romantic. The weather in this area remains cool and pleasant in summers, and cold and chilly in Winter. In December and January snowfall also occurs there.
